Power Line Worker

Get the education, training and skills to become a certified power line worker. Prepare for a career installing and repairing electrical power systems as a contractor or in the local or national utility industry.

Course Details

Class length, days and times vary by region. Contact your local Job Connection for specifics.

In this program, participants must successfully complete basic construction skills training to be able to proceed to power line worker training.

Optional: Commercial Driver's License (CDL A)

Participation Requirements

  • Age 18 or older
  • Valid driver’s license
  • GED

Goodwill Provides

  • 50% of tuition cost (additional tuition assistance available)
  • Basic construction skills training
  • Power line worker training
  • Certification reimbursement

Goodwill Industries reserves the right to make the final selection on all students due to limited space in the training program.
