GOODWILL CELEBRATES THE RE-OPENING OF THEIR SULPHUR SPRINGS RETAIL STORE, JOB CONNECTION, AND BUSINESS SERVICES CENTER

(Greenville, SC) On February 2, 2022, at 9 a.m., Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina (GIUMSC) will re-open its Sulphur Springs location to donors, shoppers, and job seekers. This site brings the full scope of Goodwill’s mission all under one roof, offering a new retail store, Job Connection site, and Business Services Center. The new store will stand as one of Goodwill’s flagship locations, providing its many services to the Upstate and Midlands communities.

The new retail store will showcase a brand new décor that will begin to roll out across all Goodwill stores in the Upstate and Midlands of South Carolina. The new design and aesthetic will continue to showcase and celebrate the mission of Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina: helping people become independent through education and training leading to employment.

The new Job Connection will provide services to job seekers, including resume preparation, job skills development, employment research, and job placement assistance. Goodwill Job Connection services helped place over 7,000 individuals into employment in 2021.

Additional services provided by GIUMSC include certified training programs, helping people prepare for careers in healthcare, transportation, digital literacy, logistics, and customer service/retail/food service. Goodwill Job Connections also provide job seekers with access to resources and skills development that can lead to great employment success in areas including (but not limited to) healthcare, administrative, manufacturing and the automotive fields. Program participants in these free programs improve on skills needed to search for, gain, and retain employment.

Goodwill proudly invites members of the media to the pre-opening viewing and ribbon-cutting on February 1st, ahead of the grand re-opening on February 2nd.
